Dealsites

UPDATED 2/10/09

These are all free sites unless noted. While I personally am not a fan of paid coupon sites…it is entirely up to each individual if they are a value to them.

You should visit message boards and read discussion of the value of paid services before shelling out your money.

I want to thank WillysEmptyWallet for helping me get this list started almost 4 years ago! he knew that people like me did not know there were any other sites like FW out there and that FW did not want anyone knowing there were sites similar to FW out there. WTG Willy!

ONE IMPORTANT THING –
Many sites offer “Cashback” on online purchases. There is not one site that I feel is better than any other, however you can use EV Reward and compare how much cashback each site will give you based on the store you are going to shop from. IMHO this is the BEST way to determine your cashback opportunities.

If you know of a site we’ve missed or find a broken link, please let us know. Thanks!

General Money Saving / Groceries & Grocery Coupons/ Gas / Diapers / Etc..

The Coupon Cupboard – Barb (who started AFC before it was sold 2x) has a new site!

Hot Coupon World – This is where most of the DAGG people have gone since the buyout by families.com

Spoofee

Got Apex – I don’t know anything about who runs this site, but it does have an active community and plenty of decent deals that do not get quickly reposted elsewhere – worth a look.

Deal A Go Go – This site has been sold to “families dot com” and has lost all of it’s luster.

Saving Advice – Very unique site – not so much about deals but abstract concepts about saving money – really really really interesting stuff.

Credit Boards – In depth discussion of credit and credit products like credit cards, mortgages, etc.

Grocery Coupon Guide – Fantastic tutorials for beginners at coupon shopping in grocery stores.

Coupon Forum – I love these guys! Forum runs in like a parallel universe to DAGG and AFC. All kinds of useful deals. They want facts and no chit-chat.

Deal I Deal – Unofficial home of coupon decoding on the web. Coupon decoding is not illegal, but redeeming coupons for items which they are not intended is against the terms of the coupon. Needless to say this site is just about the only one I know of where these topics are openly discussed.

Coupon Chix – CouponChix trade all kinds of coupons, baby formula samples, formula coupons and checks, clothes, diaper and wipes coupons, even books, DVDs, vhs tapes, household items, postage stamps and more.

Couponers Wanted – The coupon message board with a filthy mouth and a dirty mind. Fun!

My Coupons – Looks like an interesting and popular message board about grocery coupons.

Mad About Savings – New message board

Stockpiles R Us – Stockpilesrus message board – have not had time to read it yet looks interesting

A Full Cup – Our old hangout – not much there anymore but lots of our archival work may still be on the site.

Pinching Your Pennies - Kind of like the Midwest version of the Coupon Mom. Basic, simple, but not “big picture”. Good for cutting your teeth but limited in overall resources and information.

Coupon Mom – Similar to “The Grocery Game” only it’s 100% free!

FatWalletesque Sites – Electronics / Computer Stuff / Staples – OM – OD / Etc..

Deal Taker - Looks like a new site with a growing community

Anti rebate - Site lists cheap deals that require no rebate at all

Deal Dump - Site aggregates all the major deal sites into one listing – i am not sure how often it is updated but it looks good so far

Fat Fingers - Lets you search eBay for listing mistakes by people who can not spell

Last Minute Auction - Scours eBay auctions about to close in every category at very small amounts – example : show me every dvd closing in an hour or less that costs $1 or less

Fat Wallet - The 900lb gorilla, overpopulated now.

Rewards DB - Like evreward only has a larger database – compares all the cashback sites by merchant – so if you wanted to buy something from staples you compare if say fatcash, ebates, or bigcrumbs would give you the most cash back for your purchase.

Free Stuff Page - This is a great website by a guy named Brian who posts all kinds of deals he finds interesting. They are usually not just copies of the deals you see posted over and over everywhere else.)

Ben’s Bargains

Deal Me In

No Title

Moskalyuk -  Forum is down – an aggregator of XML feeds from the major dealsites in this category.

Slick Deals - Probably the #1 FW competetor, and usually beating FW to the punch on most deals these days.

Tech Bargains -  Mostly exists for its owner to earn referral commissions. however due to the persistent nature of the owner, it is often up to date with hard-to-find coupon codes, and therefore a good resource)

Coupon Chief -  same as above

Bargain Share - A great forum which is totally under the radar. Not as heavy on the tech stuff, but certainly a worthwhile board to be a member of.

Random Sites

http://mybargainbuddy.com/forums/ (Not for hardcore bargain shoppers, but good for keeping a pulse on the general closeouts and sales of major retailers)

Refunding Sites (Refunding is like when you see a form that says “Try Me Free – Mail reciept and UPC for a full refund”)

http://www.freeafterrebate.info (always good deals that I rarely see reposted)

http://refundexpress.net (paid service – Sandy also has a magazine, which I personally subscribe to and find very interesting!) UPDATE: Sandy will no longer be mailing out copies of the magazine, you have to get them as PDF files from now on.. The publication is currently on moratorium so check her website for updates before subscribing!

http://www.refundcents.com (paid service – Michelle also has a magazine, which while the articles are not as good as Sandy’s articles, RE has more comprehensive refund listings. it’s really a matter of what you are more interested in. I personally subscribe to both, but that does not mean you need both.)

http://www.refundlebundle.com Susan is the TRUE queen of rebates! She has been publishing her newsletter FOR OVER THIRTY YEARS!! WTG Susan!! A GREAT resource!

http://home.earthlink.net/~rwm/ REFUND WORLD – A bi-monthly newsletter.

http://www.rebateroulette.com reviews of rebating companies

Frugal Lifestyle

http://www.frugalworld.com (some nice basic articles for getting started – too many affiliate ads make it hard to read, and the articles can be extremely vague, but a good start if you are considering a frugal lifestyle for any reason.)

http://www.homeeconomiser.com (paid service – it’s an interesting newsletter and not too expensive. My #1 gripe with this publication is it only seems to have one major article of interest, and then the rest is filler like recipes for leftovers and suggestions of books and movies for families.)

http://www.grocerylists.org random shopping lists found in supermarkets

http://www.cents-off.com Coupon Information Corportation – For information about coupons which have been discovered to be fraudulent.

I like your site, it seems really useful–found you on twitter, or shall I say you found me! :)

    Keep up the good work!

You may want to add an environmental twist for fun (my pet peeve is the mercury filled CFL light-bulbs.)
Also, gardening food-stuff cheap and quick is also good, since we have entered an economic depression, and cash is getting very rare. :-(

But, thanks for the site! I have bookmarked it!
